HOSPITALITY
Series 7, a conceptual design project, is located at 151 St. Paul Boulevard in Rochester, New York.

Blending texture with fluidity of form, Arne Jacobsen was able to integrate the human form into a rigid structure. Breaking out of the geometric space, light and organic forms work to create a harmony between outdoor and indoor space. Series 7, fabricated in an abandoned building, is a Scandinavian modern restaurant, based off the furniture designs of Arne Jacobsen. The goal was to capture the essence of life within its environment. Using furniture and materials, the space was transformed into a modern and attractive restaurant. The space feels natural and inviting. The experience of being within nature is supported through neutral colors, organic forms, and wood tones. Natural forms are re ected within the furniture selection to create a comforting space. A variety of seating is available for customers to choose from for privacy options. A clean and open plan allows the restaurant to have organic flow to suit the needs of every customer and employee. The tall windows, on the first floor, provide natural lighting along with other modern light fixtures in the room and in the lower level. The lighting encourages a casual and pleasant environment. The natural light throughout the day supports the organic environment, while ambient lighting at night creates a relaxing mood. The space provides and elevator and ADA compliant bathrooms, seating and an ADA accessible bar.
